The Fairest Week In Review: 2/18

JENN: Ready to do some blogging?

MOON: Yep!

JENN: So how was your week?

MOON: I didn't quite make it to any new running horizons, but I did run most days!I don't know about you, but for me winter is rouuuuugh. All I want to do is eat pretzels and hide under blankets.

JENN: Agreed. My runs the last week have been pretty terrible. I'm almost considering taking a week off from running.

MOON: HMMM! Maybe we should/We can ironically blog about NOT running next week.

JENN: I've been sluggish and incompetent and I wonder if I need legitimate recharging. But then I worry that I'm just giving up and being lazy. So I dunno.

MOON: I think it's winter.

The perp.

JENN: I think there's something to that.

MOON: Really.Winter blows.

JENN: It's supposed to be good for running! Chilliness, I mean.

MOON: Chilliness I can handle. Heart-crushing subzero temperatures is just depressing.

JENN: As of right now it seems to mostly sap me of my energy. Siiiigh. I just don't know. I want my mojo back! I had it for a bit there!

What can we do about this? We need a remedy.

JENN: Put it to the readers, I guess. What should we do? Take a week off? Push through? Something else?

  1. Aww, thanks for the love! I appreciate it. Also, I'd say take a week off; it'll almost certainly give you a boost when you start up again, plus there's no way your fitness level will decline in that amount of time. I felt pretty good after I took two weeks off after the WDW Marathon, but then I've only run a handful of times since then due to the scary-ass ice-sheet-sidewalks in NYC and now I'm going stir-crazy and getting concerned about starting back up again. But a break almost always helps when I'm feeling sluggish.

    1. The prospect of taking - GASP - time off frightens me, but I do think that ultimately you're on to something...

  2. Thanks so much, Jenn! Glad you are enjoying the Love Meter series!! Have a good week + can we please move to a tropical island? Thanks!

    1. SO IN for the tropical island. Let's all order a drink with an umbrella in it.
