WDW Marathon

Hello humans! Do you know what time it is? I bet you do. It’s… WALT DISNEY WORLD MARATHON PREP TIME!

Yes, my very favorite race is this Sunday, and I am hella jazzed. Also I am tapering. Behold, the workout log:

Sunday | rest
We drove down to Wilmington, NC with some friends for the New Year’s Eve weekend. I thought about bringing my running stuff, but I was experiencing some very minor knee irritation and decided to take the rest days. Part of me was a little bummed – there was a lovely river walk nearby that would’ve made a killer running trail – but ultimately I think giving my body a rest was the right call.

Monday | rest
And auld lang synes all around.

Tuesday | rest
Drove back from NC.

Wednesday | ran 5.25 miles outside in 55 minutes
Annnnd back to real life. Boo. I hate real life. (See: my WDW addiction.

Thursday | walked 2.11 miles outside in 35 minutes; 55 minute ballet class

Friday | ran 5.22 miles outside in 55 minutes

Saturday | rest
Attended Pat’s niece’s birthday party. You know me; I’ll do anything to score some cake.

Hooray! Hooray! WDW and Kidani Village are but a few sleeps away! <— a song I just made up

Check back in the coming days to find out what I’ll be wearing (very important information, natch) and what I plan to be doing. In the meantime, enjoy the roundup:

– Prep for WDW Marathon Weekend with Magic of Running
– … and Sparkly Runner.
– Or just prep for runDisney generally with Disney In Your Day.
– The Main Street Gazette goes full Nordic in the World Showcase.
– Living A Disney Life sniffs out DAK’s best dessert. (Allegedly.)
– The Disney Tourist Blog experiences NYE at Epcot.
