My 2022 Epcot Food & Wine Festival To-Eat List

The next best thing to being at Walt Disney World is fantasizing about being in Walt Disney World, and with that in mind, let’s talk about the 2022 Epcot Food & Wine Festival! Every year, without fail, I carefully assemble a post that outlines what foods I plan to eat at the festival. It is always a joyous day when Disney releases the booth menus. Do you, dear reader, find my shortlist as riveting as I do? Never mind! I’m doing it anyway because it serves as a handy cheat sheet when I’m actually in Epcot on those glorious,...

Ah, but that was just Flower & Garden Festival items! I have some non-festival food and drinks to review as well. Let’s get to it! Breakfast Sandwich Redux at the Friar’s Nook Hey, remember...

Epcot Flower & Garden Festival Food Reviews!

Trip report time! I’m covering my April 2022 trip for the Tower of Terror 10 Miler. Read all the posts in this report here. Onward! Every Walt Disney World trip absolutely mandates an ex post facto food debrief. This year’s Epcot Flower & Garden Festival food booths had so many interesting offerings, I determined they deserved their own post. And now here we are! Read on to see how I felt about the snacks I tried. Since this year’s festival runs through July, it might even help you assemble your own to-eat list. Tupelo Honey and Sweet Corn Spoon...

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: Food Review Hodgepodge

It’s trip report time again! Read all the posts in this trip report here. Onward! One does not simply eat food at Walt Disney World and then fail to talk about it. Inquiring minds want to know: what did you eat at WDW, and was it worth it? I would never hold out on you! Here’s all the comestibles and libations worth mentioning from my February Disney trip: DISNEY SPRINGS SNACKS We return to Blaze pizza for the first time in awhile, so chosen for its efficient line and carb-heavy pre-race offerings. I was pleased to see they offer...

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: 1/11

Time for another trip report! I’ll be covering my 2022 WDW Marathon Weekend trip. Find all the posts in this report here. Onward! Oh, the bittersweet saga that is the last day in Walt Disney World. Some weeks ago I had thought to myself, maybe I’ll get up early the last day and do a strength workout. Luckily I came to my sense the night before and set my alarm to “sleep in” instead. I hopped out of bed, took a quick shower, dropped my bags at baggage check (which is at the old airline check-in desk for departures...

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: Fireworks & California Grill 50th Anniversary Dinner Review

It’s trip report time again! Read all posts in this trip report here. Settle in, kids, because I’m gonna tell you all about what was arguably the best part of the whole trip. Funnily enough, I debated cancelling this reservation, but as it turns out the California Grill 50th Anniversary Dinner is EXCELLENT. Let’s talk through it! We started our experience by checking into the podium an hour early, where the Cast Member stationed there was able to put in – although not guarantee, of course – our request to be seated earlier than our 9:25pm reservation if at all possible....

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: The Agave Experience At La Cava Del Tequila

It’s trip report time again! Read all posts in this trip report here. Teetotalers need not apply, because today we’re going to talk about The Agave Experience in La Cava del Tequila! Just in case, let’s kick it back to basics first. La Cava del Tequila is the tequila and margarita bar that’s inside the pyramid in the Mexico pavilion. It’s on your right when you first enter. La Cava is run by an outside company, not Disney. Unlike the quick service stands outside, they offer tequila shots in addition to specialty margaritas. The space is tiny, so if you want to...

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: Dinner At Homecomin’

It’s trip report time again! Read all posts in this trip report here. Look, I know I kinda already reviewed Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in Disney Springs last time. But Pat was dying to try it and to be honest, I was jonesing to go back myself. It’s that good! And everybody knows it, because Advanced Dining Reservations here are a hot ticket. I was only able to snag a 9pm ADR. You can always check in early, though, which is what we did, and wound up getting seats at the bar about an hour in advance. Score! I might still have...

Smee would drink the Runner's Margarita

Can You Get Electro-LIT With The Runner’s Margarita? (No.)

The Runner’s Margarita has been a long time coming. I’ve been pondering it awhile, but it was only last weekend that I finally sprang for the full bottle of tequila I required for my experiment. A classic margarita, made from scratch, is very simple. You only really NEED three ingredients: tequila, lime juice, and an orange liqueur like triple sec or Grand Marnier. I make a pretty decent margarita and paloma if I do say so myself. Of course the problem with margaritas is that they contain alcohol(!), which is dehydrating, not to mention a bit sugary depending on...

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: Star Wars Dining In Galaxy’s Edge

The full trip report is over, but the details still need filling in. Read on for more May 2021 WDW fun! Not that you’d know it by reading this blog, but there are actually other restaurants in Galaxy’s Edge aside from Oga’s Cantina. You might not patronize them under the glorious shadow of DJ Rex, but they are various levels of interesting all the same. Let’s make like Luke Skywalker and a tauntaun and get into it, shall we? GALAXY’S EDGE <3s MILK How about we start with the drinks, the myths, the legends: blue and green milk. Obviously we...
