In Which Jenn Crashes Back Into Reality

The Office injury

So, what’s a good follow up in five glorious days at Walt Disney World and a rainy but ultimately successful half marathon?

Why, coming home and promptly falling off the stairs, of course!

I don’t know what I did to my foot but I know it NEVER WOULD HAVE HAPPENED if I’d just stayed at Disney.

Did I mention I have a ballet performance on Saturday? And that I was going to start Dopey training next week?

Sigh. Ah well. I had a friend who’s a PT look at it and while my foot is swollen she said she didn’t feel anything out of place, so there’s that. With any luck, by resting it I’ll be able to power through my two dances on Saturday and then maybe tentatively try a short run next week. With Dopey coming in January, though, I don’t want to take any risks.

So that’s the bad news. The good news is that I have a trip recap coming, so that’ll be fun, right? Also, I continue to have the prettiest cubicle in all the land.

  1. Ugh, seriously, is there anything worse than being back at work sitting at your desk bored out of your mind thinking about how YOU WERE JUST AT DISNEY!?!

Sorry to hear you hurt your foot 🙁

But glad we met quickly this weekend! (And in the porta-potty line of all places!)

  2. When teleportation finally becomes I thing, I'm installing a direct portal to World Showcase from my living room immediately.

Nothing brings runners together like a good port-a-potty line! So glad we met – hope your race was drier than mine. 🙂
