Lemme rip the bandaid off: after almost eight years, I finally got around to starting an Instagram account expressly for this blog.
Under normal circumstances, I despise being late. So this is tough for me.
Okay, in my defense, “finally got around to” is not strictly accurate. I’ve been thinking about this for a while. Years, even. I love scrolling through Disney Instagram and looking at all the awesome pictures of awesome people enjoying the parks. And there are tons of accounts doing it. Tons! So many I thought: I’m just a little blog. I can’t compete. It’s already being done. Can I bring anything different to the table?
And y’know… strictly speaking, I don’t know if I can. I’m a small-time blogger who loves running and Disney and runDisney and Disney fashion. None of that is new. BUT! It’s an Instagram account, not neurosurgery. I’m not scrubbing in and asking for a scalpel; I’m posting my WDW pics for fun. If it doesn’t take off? No worries! I’m just futzing around with photos. Sure, there are plenty of fish in the sea, but there’s no reason one of them can’t be me.
So yeah! If you’re on Insta, follow The Fairest Run Of All. I’ve been, ahem, doing a soft opening for a a month or so now so that there’s actual content when you click through. I’ll be posting when there’s a new blog entry, of course, but on off days I’ve got bajillions Disney photos in my backlog, some of which have never before seen the metaphorical light of day. They’re so excited to finally have a purpose!
