I know it's 100% trite to say it, but I can scarcely believe this day has finally arrived. I feel like we've been planning it for decades. Scores. EONS. But it's time! It's finally time!
Time for my very first Food and Wine Festival. I'm so excited to eat some griddled Greek cheese and rejoice.
Time to poke around Memento Mori and try the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for myself. (Always assuming it hasn't burned to the ground.)
Time to check out the Art of Animation Resort. Yes to the Finding Nemo suites! Can't wait to shower with sharks!
Time to ride Everest and watch the Festival of the Lion King because it doesn't count as a WDW trip otherwise.
Time to hang out with a truly awesome group of like-minded Disneyphiles.
Time for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon. My third runDisney race and my second race in WDW (the first of course being the Princess Half). To be honest, I'm not 100% sure how ready I am for this race. Since the marathon I've run exactly twice, although I've taken several walks and multiple ballet classes so it's not like I've been completely inactive.
Regardless, I really don't know how this race is gonna shake out - I could find myself bursting with stored energy and knock out a new PR! Alternatively, my post-26.2 mile body may take two steps and react with a stern "THIS again? We JUST DID THIS. STOP RIGHT NOW."
All I can say for sure is the following.
- My post-marathon brain looks upon 13.1 miles and says psh. No sweat.
- I AM GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN.
- I AM GOING TO BE SO HAPPY.
Okay, everybody look for me in corral D! And make sure you follow me on Twitter; I'll be doing some tweeting, naturally.
Who else will be there for W&D Half weekend and do you want to share a cupcake? It doesn't have to be a cupcake.
