WDW Marathon

The Fairest Week In Review: 1/09

Hello humans! Do you know what time it is? I bet you do. It’s… WALT DISNEY WORLD MARATHON PREP TIME! Yes, my very favorite race is this Sunday, and I am hella jazzed. Also I am tapering. Behold, the workout log:  Sunday | rest We drove down to Wilmington, NC with some friends for the New Year’s Eve weekend. I thought about bringing my running stuff, but I was experiencing some very minor knee irritation and decided to take the rest days. Part of me was a little bummed – there was a lovely river walk nearby that would’ve made a killer...

The Fairest Week In Review: 1/11

The Fairest Week In Review: 4/27

Good news and bad news time, guys. Traditionally I like bad news first, and the bad news is that we probably won’t see Moon in the Week In Review for awhile – she’s in the process of packing up her life and quite literally shipping up to Boston. She’s gonna concentrate on that transition for a bit, and then no doubt be back and better than ever with wonderful new running routes to tell us all about! Now for the good news. Here it is: I know – you’re all sooooo surprised. At least I pulled the proverbial trigger...

WDW Marathon

The Fairest Week In Review: 5/27

JENN: So, just saying: the WDW Marathon is still only 72% sold. No pressure! Merely stating a fact, in case anyone is interested. MOON: Ha, point taken! If I were definitely training for a marathon right now then I would be failing miserably… This week I went for… ONE run? It’s been very busy! Too many graduations, parties, first-world problems. JENN: Hey, one run is better than no run! Registration for the Princess Half doesn’t open for a couple weeks yet, so there’s still time to ponder our next runDisney adventure. MOON: Haha, have you had any luck persuading...

In Which Jenn Has Crazy runDisney Dreams

I know it’s wildly common for people to have that dream, the night before a race, that they have slept through their alarm. This image also helpfully doubles as a metaphor for running itself. OH GOD NOT GOING FAST ENOUGH (source) I am WAY AHEAD OF YOU. Sure, I’ve had that dream. I’ve had it the night before the race. I’ve also had it three months before the race and sooner, and I’ve had it weirder. Take the Wine & Dine Half. That’s not until November. And yet a couple weeks ago I had my first OH GOD RUNDISNEY...

The Fairest Run Of All

The Fairest Run(ners) of All

Once upon a time, a Disney park-obsessed runner strong-armed her best friend into running Walt Disney World’s Princess Half Marathon. They ran the whole thing together and crossed the finish line holding hands. It was such an amazing experience that they determined that they simply HAD to max out their runDisney experience by hitting every single race. And then they thought, hey, what better way to motivate and celebrate than a blog about those exploits? Thus was born The Fairest Run of All, because these devoted friends love a good pun. Join Jenn and Moon on their magical tour...
