Surprise! I’m Hightailing It Back To WDW

And you thought I went to WDW a bunch last year! Frankly, so did I. But as they say, sometimes fate steps in and sees you through. In my case, fate stepped in in the form of a work conference in Orlando, right across the highway from my beloved Walt Disney World. Score!

Of course, this trip is primarily centered around said work conference, which is why I haven’t done my usual wardrobe-and-trip-goals-at-minimum lead up. While I definitely plan to put my annual pass to work (rimshot), most of my daytime hours will be devoted to conference sessions. Alas, only a few evening hours will be mine in the parks.

Still, a few precious nights at Disney are better than any amount of time anywhere else, no? I even get to hit up the Epcot Food & Wine Festival! For safety, I snagged a very clutch Oga’s Cantina ADR for one night. And if I’m lucky, maybe I can bag a miracle and ride Tron. (Although I’ll have to get pretty lucky, as the conference hotel is offsite and I lose the onsite virtual queue/Lightning Lane time advantage.)

I don’t think Pat would forgive me if I came back from Disney without more cookies from Gideon’s. Oh, and I this time I really do want to come home with one of those super-cute personalized parasols from Liberty Square!

Bonus: there’s a very unofficial but very real conference 5K which I will absolutely be recapping. Last year there were dinosaurs!

I’m not sure if this one will merit a full, day-by-day trip report; I suspect I might do what I did after my last conference in Orlando, where I did more of a series of highlights post than a blow-by-blow. Who knows – I’ll let the experience dictate my recap style.

Regardless, you know where the party’s gonna be at next week: my Instagram! Check my posts and stories to keep abreast of all my wild antics. Meet me there, and/or I’ll catch you on the other side right here on FROA!
