I mean it: I have collected, to my knowledge, some form of every Walt Disney World resort’s background music loop in this post.
You may not always notice it, but background music is at integral part of the WDW experience, even outside the parks. And in the modern age, more and more people are going out and capturing that music – we don’t have to wait for official Disney releases anymore! With that in mind, I set myself a challenge: can I collect all the resort background music in one place? Can I create a one-stop shop for like-minded enthusiasts? I intend to try!
Below you’ll find links to YouTube videos for – wait for it – EVERY SINGLE RESORT BACKGROUND MUSIC LOOP. This collection is just the regular loops; if we complete this one, maybe we can try for the holiday loops next.
Which may beg the question: why?
My reasons are twofold:
IT SETS THE TONE IN ADVANCE OF A DISNEY RESORT STAY
When I know I’m going to stay at a new-to-me Disney resort, I have a ritual: I always try to listen to the hotel’s background music loop before I go.
Not that one necessarily needs to feel more at home in their resort, especially when one is starting out already feeling at home in Walt Disney World, but I feel like it adds a little extra something when you walk down your dimly lit hotel hallway late at night and hear music you recognize.
Also, sometimes I listen to the background music loop ahead of a resort I’ve stayed at before, just to get in the mood. It’s generally a much better mood, so why not milk it?
BACKGROUND MUSIC IS WONDERFUL BACKGROUND MUSIC
As a card-carrying ADHD kid, I often work under a condition known as Just Distracted Enough.
I will elaborate. Often, if a given task does not require my whole focus to complete, I will in fact wander off mentally without realizing. After all, says my special special brain, why concentrate on something boring and/or simple when I could be daydreaming vividly? And it’s hard to fight against that; it’s not like I can put my brain away. If I could, I would have by now, BELIEVE ME.
On the other hand, this same task becomes much easier to complete when the uninvolved portion of my brain has something else to do. Enter Disney background music!
Serotonin from the Disney association? Check! No attention-grabbing plot or dialogue? Check! Background music loops are a wonderful work companion. You should definitely give your eight hour shift a Disney soundtrack today if you haven’t tried it yet.
Having no doubt explained myself so rationally that it feels crazy not to do it, I can finally present to you…

IN MUSIC, WE’D CALL THIS THE CODA
Admittedly, my confidently declared “every” statement comes with some qualifiers. In a few cases I did pull “ambience” videos that may or may not be the exact loops of these resorts. I only did this in when I was having trouble finding a definitive background loop video.
There are also some resorts that have more than one loop for different resort areas. I decided not to chase every possible piece down for time reasons, but I’m certainly not against collecting ’em all. If you’d like to contribute any missed additions, feel free!
I also found anecdotally that many of the new DVC resorts that were built directly into existing resort infrastructure – think the Yacht & Beach Club villas or Wilderness Lodge DVC wings – use the same music loops as the non-DVC areas. Again, if you’d take pleasure in proving me wrong, please have at me.
Likewise, if any of the above loops have changed, the links break, or updates are otherwise required, please let me know via comment or email or DM on the social media platform of your choice – I want to fix it! For science.
I hope you find this a useful resource in your Disney endeavors. Happy listening to you!
