The Fairest Trip Report Of All: Food Review Hodgepodge

Trip report time! I’m covering my April 2022 trip for the Tower of Terror 10 Miler. Read all the posts in this report here. Onward! One more post from my April trip and then we can wrap this up, I promise. Real quick, let’s talk about what I ate! I know what you, a dedicated reader, are thinking: You already told us what you ate. Ah, but that was just Flower & Garden Festival items! I have some non-festival food and drinks to review as well. Let’s get to it! Breakfast Sandwich Redux at the Friar’s Nook Hey, remember...

Epcot Flower & Garden Festival Food Reviews!

Trip report time! I’m covering my April 2022 trip for the Tower of Terror 10 Miler. Read all the posts in this report here. Onward! Every Walt Disney World trip absolutely mandates an ex post facto food debrief. This year’s Epcot Flower & Garden Festival food booths had so many interesting offerings, I determined they deserved their own post. And now here we are! Read on to see how I felt about the snacks I tried. Since this year’s festival runs through July, it might even help you assemble your own to-eat list. Tupelo Honey and Sweet Corn Spoon...

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: 4/1

Okay, one more Walt Disney World trip report and then I promise not another one until November, okay? (Probably. Like, if something falls in my lap…) Read all the posts in this report here. We begin this tale with a crazy airplane adventure! The kind that’s on the ground, that is; no lives were lost on this journey. I was coming from North Carolina after visiting my parents partially for race purposes. We drove to MYR and I hopped on my flight to Baltimore, all without a hitch. Things looked good at BWI. My airplane to MCO arrived a...

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: Food Review Hodgepodge

It’s trip report time again! Read all the posts in this trip report here. Onward! One does not simply eat food at Walt Disney World and then fail to talk about it. Inquiring minds want to know: what did you eat at WDW, and was it worth it? I would never hold out on you! Here’s all the comestibles and libations worth mentioning from my February Disney trip: DISNEY SPRINGS SNACKS We return to Blaze pizza for the first time in awhile, so chosen for its efficient line and carb-heavy pre-race offerings. I was pleased to see they offer...

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: 2/27

It’s trip report time again! Read all the posts in this trip report here. Onward! The end of any runDisney race is a whirl of mixed emotions – you’re happy and sad that it’s over all at once. But there is something so calm and lovely about coming back to your room right after, especially the bit where you take a long hot shower. (Maybe you take a cold one like you’re “supposed” to but I’m not about that Arctic life.) I nestled, clean and satisfyingly tired, into bed and awaited the arrival of Erika. She was back shortly...

The Fairest Gift Of All: An Epcot-Inspired Trip Report Addendum

My January trip report has a coda! If you read that report (and you totally should if you’ve got several hours to spare; I like to use every word I know every time), you’ll recall I spent some time browsing the Mitsukoshi department store in the Japan pavilion. And although my November trip report doesn’t mention it explicitly, I ducked into Mitsukoshi on that trip too. These two instances have something in common. Of the myriad items I would love to own someday, I zeroed in on these SUPER squishy Shibu Inu stuffed animals. They were crazy dense and...

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: 1/10

Time for another trip report! I’ll be covering my 2022 WDW Marathon Weekend trip. Find all the posts in this report here. Onward! The day after a race is almost always a good one. As much fun as it was, the weight of expectation is lifted from your shoulders. I woke up cheerfully enough, took a shower, did some work while Erika got ready too, and off we went to Epcot! Our Skyliner ride went very smoothly, and we arrived at the International Gateway in plenty of time for Epcot’s early entry. I was just leading Erika to the...

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: 11/12

It’s trip report time again! Read all posts in this trip report here. Oh, the dreaded Very Last Day. It begins in the usual fashion: get up, shower, finish packing, say goodbye to our room, check our bags at bell services. Alas and alack. Then, of course, it gets more fun for a bit! Our first stop that morning was Epcot, so we took that lovely stroll over to the most magnificent Skyliner. Nothing can compare. And stopping for coffee on the way in? That’s the icing on the cake. We were just in time to enter during the extra resort...

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: The Agave Experience At La Cava Del Tequila

It’s trip report time again! Read all posts in this trip report here. Teetotalers need not apply, because today we’re going to talk about The Agave Experience in La Cava del Tequila! Just in case, let’s kick it back to basics first. La Cava del Tequila is the tequila and margarita bar that’s inside the pyramid in the Mexico pavilion. It’s on your right when you first enter. La Cava is run by an outside company, not Disney. Unlike the quick service stands outside, they offer tequila shots in addition to specialty margaritas. The space is tiny, so if you want to...

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: 11/9

It’s trip report time again! Read all posts in this trip report here. Another 7am wakeup call, as is the New Normal. But this time I wasn’t after Individual Lightning Lanes or Genie+ slots – I wanted a place in the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure virtual queue! Which I got, but at a time that perfectly coincided with our tequila tasting in Mexico. I resolved to check in with Guest Experience staff upon arrival at Epcot, but as it turned out it was never necessary; by park open our predicted boarding call time had moved back about two hours. Every...
