An Ode to Bread Pudding (And a Gluten/Lactose-Free Recipe!)

This is a Jenn post. I figured I’d mention since it’s not in the post title. I am an acknowledged sweet tooth, and I’ll be the first to acknowledge it. If there were any possible way to achieve a balanced diet while consuming only dessert, I’d be the first person on board. One year for my birthday Moon gave me a can of frosting, and I was thrilled because as far as I’m concerned cake only exists as a conveyance for frosting anyway. Yay for eliminating the middleman! Indeed, there is no foodstuff in the world I love more than…

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: Food Review Hodgepodge

Trip report time! I’m covering my April 2022 trip for the Tower of Terror 10 Miler. Read all the posts in this report here. Onward! One more post from my April trip and then we can wrap this up, I promise. Real quick, let’s talk about what I ate! I know what you, a dedicated reader, are thinking: You already told us what you ate. Ah, but that was just Flower & Garden Festival items! I have some non-festival food and drinks to review as well. Let’s get to it! Breakfast Sandwich Redux at the Friar’s Nook Hey, remember that…

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: 11/7

It’s trip report time again! Read all posts in this trip report here. Post-race, I did what I think we all do: immediately hopped in the shower. Thank God the showers at Caribbean Beach get good and hot, because I could barely feel my hands! GLOVES next time, Jenn. Throwaway race gloves. C’mon, you know better than that. Thus cleansed, I ate one of the only worthwhile snackbox items – giant graham Goldfish crackers, for some reason – and dove under the covers for A Long Autumn’s Nap. Some of you may feel this is a mistake. It’s okay, I…

Jenn’s 2021 Epcot Food & Wine Festival To-Eat List

You know what’s the worst? Reading all the amazing reviews of foods and drinks at Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival when you know you’re not going this year. You know what’s the BEST? Reading all the amazing reviews of foods and drinks at Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival when you know you’re going this year! My hotel is booked, my race registration is complete, and now it’s time to get down to the real business: defeating the huns making my short list of snacks and sips to try. I used this DFB list as a resource if you wanna follow…

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: Imaginary Edition

Normally the week after a Walt Disney World trip is followed by a series of trip report blog posts. Alas, last week’s WDW sojourn didn’t happen.  But this didn’t stop me from opening up my planning spreadsheet and punctuating every single day with statements about what we should be doing at that time. I was constantly telling Pat things like “We should be in Disney Springs right now;” “Our Splash Mountain FastPass just opened up;” “Our Oga’s Cantina ADR is for 7pm tonight;” etc. I’m sure he loved it.  And then it occurred to me – what if I combined…

In Which Jenn Makes A New WDW To-Eat List

Waaaay back in 2014, when this blog was a mere baby blog – a blaby? A blogby? – I did a post about all the foods I wanted to eat at Walt Disney World. Since then, I have made a small dent in that list… and since then, five years’ worth of NEW foods have popped up. So I did it again! I went combing through the last year’s worth of Disney Food Blog archives, painstakingly searching for reviews of foods that looked simply too delicious not to pursue. Any time I found such a wonderful treat, I compiled it in…

In Which Jenn Has ALLLLLLLL THE AKL ADRs!!!!

I know Wine & Dine Half weekend is coming up first, but I can’t help but peek ahead just a bit to my next WDW trip – the one in January for the Walt Disney World Marathon. Despite not planning on any park time, I’m super excited to stay at Kidani Village. Only deluxe accommodations for me this time around! Outside the race itself I plan to take time to relax – check out the savanna observation areas, hang by the pool, book a massage and chill in the spa area… and EAT ALL THE FOOD?????? It started with an innocent Sanaa advanced…

In Which Jenn Attends A Private Party In Epcot

Since I spent most of this WDW trip in a conference, I won’t be doing a traditional trip report, but I definitely still have a lot of stuff to tell you about that will be loosely collected under the July 2018 trip keyword. Read on! Somewhere up there in Conference Heaven loves me: not only was my conference at the Swolphin, but there was a wrap-up party… IN EPCOT!!!! I know! It’s like they planned it just for me! Our evening began by entering Epcot via the International Gateway, our badges being our ticket in. We were herded over to…

The Fairest Week In Review: 11/15

More running! Hooray! My IT Band has been… pretty good. Every once and awhile I think it might be acting up a little but it’s nothing a little KT Tape hasn’t been able to handle. I do wish that stuff was cheaper, but then it’s nowhere near as expensive as medical bills, so.  I think I might also look into getting some different running shoes for my long runs. Perhaps Black Friday will deliver some worthwhile deals? I almost bought the Nike Odyssey on my last shoe testing trip… but Brooks Ravennas performed well for me for years… thing to…

The Fairest Trip Report Of All: 1/10

Mini trip report time! I’m covering my quick weekend trip for the WDW Marathon. To read all the posts in this report, click here. I arrived back at Pop just after noon, which gave me a little under an hour to do my shower thing and get out per the late check out rules. I ate a couple snacks, cleaned myself off, did some last minute packing, and headed out. Disney doesn’t require in-person check out unless you need to adjust your bill or something, but I still needed to swing by the front desk: my Magical Express ticket home…
